Summer Frag Swap

DFWMAS will be holding our annual summer frag swap on August 27, 2011 at the Irving Bible Church: http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v ... 75063-3434
This event is open to all hobbyists as buyers and sellers.

Schedule:
8:30-9:30am setup
9:30-11:00am selling
11:00am-12:00pm break down

SELLERS
Free for DFWMAS members
$10 for non-members
All sellers agree to donate a frag (a live one, that isn't overwhelmingly common) to the raffle

BUYERS
Free for all to attend and buy

As usual, all sellers are responsible for bringing their own water, supplies, power cords, and cleaning up their table before departure. The club/venue will provide tables.

Please RSVP to this thread so that we can have enough tables set up for the event.

Was this announced like a week ago? That sucks would be nice to get heads up a little in advance next time, both for sellers and buyers.

Start fragging those corals. Drew announced the next frag swap will be in two weeks -- just enough time for them to heal for the sale. Get those frag kits out and get going. :)

How many tables are there? I know only the first 15 people get a reserved spot. I only need about half a table and am willing to share my power strip.

Hey Anton -- just so you know, we are working toward having 3 per year (like we did last year). Most likely, they are in August, November and April/May timeframes. It is hard to determine exactly what weekends since it is somewhat dependent upon what location we can find on what weekends.

A. If anyone in west Fort Worth wants to carpool with me, I'm in an SUV and can fit 4 people easily. I'm hitting the road at 7:45 (have to go to Starbucks on the way). Keep in mind though that I am staying till it's over.

B. I've had a couple of people say they dont have things to "swap" since they are just starting out so I'd like to clarify the "swap" part. Correct me if I am wrong but a "swap" doesn't mean you have to trade coral, it is just a fancy name for "bring your stuff and go home with other stuff" or just buy/sell stuff.

That is correct. You may bring item to sell , trade or you may buy from others.

I had fun out there. Lot's of nice people too. It did seem a bit short though, were the time constraints due to the church or due to the people running the event? I'm not complaining, I was just wondering if future ones would last more than an hour and a half.
