I personally like the use of cinder blocks in the picture.

Come on guys look at the year and location. The rainbows are Hawaii things and so where the shorts and living on what the Marine Corps paid in 1985 in Hawaii meant frugal as can be. Note the UG filter and state of the art magnum350. Shortly afterwards I paid a months salary for my first wet dry that took 2-3 weeks to arrive via UPS boat.
I can't find any photos of my plywood 180G I built as I could not afford to buy one.
On the real funny side. When I transferred back to mainland I was not near my weight allowed so I shipped back ALL my cinder blocks of which my 180 was on 18 of them.
And on a sad note I acquired those large bleached corals myself

Just stumbled upon this thread. I'll play along.... :-) Somewhat dated pics below. I've just come to realize, as the person that usually takes the pictures, I rarely appear in the "family pics". :-) Anyway, pic of the lovely wife and I below. This was while vacationing in Cancun, and my usual tan got even heavier during this trip. Hehe. And a family pic. The little boy on the left is now that young man that accompanies me at our meetings! You'd also be led to believe that I only own one nice shirt, although these pics were taken months apart. :-)

That is funny about the shirt. We were looking through family pictures the other day and I was wearing the same shirt in about six pictures taken over a three year period.

Well, I'm in RCIA ( Rite of Christian Initiation in Adults). Taking classes to become Catholic. Rite of Welcome is one of the "rites" where we are initiated into the church and are officially Catholic. RCIA runs every Thursday night from 9/4/2008 until Easter this year.

you have to take classes to become catholic? I was raised in the catholic church and did the whole first communion thing and whatnot. I havent been to church in years though. I guess with as many rituals and rules as the catholics have you might need to go to class to learn them all! One thing I like about catholics is that they drink a lot.

I went to a catholic fall festival thing when I was visiting the inlaws a few months ago. It was an outdoor fair type thing with food and rides for the kids. They had a beer trailer there! I was drinking beer with the priest!
