So I did some searching and found the website for Your Reef one of the vendors who was there and this is what this favia is going to look like when it colors up.

http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-6357516149 ... 8_14074418

And the name for those who like names its called the Dragons Revenge Favia.

This was my best guess btw its not been confirmed.

JB, thanks for the name on the favia, I don't know if he even told us a name or not...we're not so into that. On the chalice we didn't know the name till after he bagged it for us heheheh.

Did anyone pick up the Red Riding Hood zoas?

Oh, and I noticed a nice bright spot of orange on one corner of the chalice tonight, so it's getting another eye!

ok here is this years haul...loved the event...my G/F and I won three raffels. we got two glasses, we got a bag of the fish food from the first raffel, and my favorite...we got the gift certificate for Rapidled.com.

anyways...the corals...

my first clam in this tank

my first cyphastrea (meteor shower?)

acan set #1
Image

Acan set #2
Image

I'm calling it "spiderman monti"...it's the reverse superman that many people got but it's amazing that it has the crescent of electric blue on half the polyp. The one to the left is also new...it looks like a jedi mindtrick...but I am told it is not...either way it was something I wanted.
Image

this pic shows the unknown blue acro that I got with the Spiderman monti...If anyone knows it's name I'd appreciate it.
Image

And finally, the only coral I was looking for...my first Strawberry Shortcake. Please help me grow it...I need to know what Light it prefers.
Image

I want to thank melev's reef for selling me the photo box...and the pointing rod. hehe. :P
I love that new ability to take pics from more angels...and in the tank.

and finally thanks from us in texarkana to everyone who not only helped to put this event on, but also the speakers, vendors, donators, and of course all the people that attended who will help to insure that we will have another successful NextWave again next year. thanks to everyone.

The piece on the left....did you get this from Paul at HD Corals? I was eyeballing that on Friday night and talked to Tony Vargas about it. I believe it is actually Porites vaughani.

Yeah I don't know what it REALLY is...I'm just calling it that. How's your SS? Mine is in low light and is very pale...I don't know where to place it...any help would be great.

It would be interesting if that's not a monti...it sure looks like jedi mind trick...but if it isn't then I'm glad I have a colorful one. It was super cheap all day so I'm interested in how it grows out.

That is more of a mystic sunset/reverse superman type monti. If the polyp's kinda shimmer then it would be more inline with a mystic sunset.

Got some better pics of some of the corals tonight.
